UPCOMING EVENTS
December 2, 2022
"The Girl Within" (Village for Families & Children) | CT Convention Center | Hartford, CT
Last year, I started a new kind of singing ensemble at my school called Community Singers. The mission of this group is to build community through song by breaking down the barriers between performer and audience. In this class, students take the lead in choosing repertoire that uplifts and connects, with a goal of curating a songbook that is accessible and inclusive. Our performances are interactive as we strive to encourage participation by everyone in attendance. We are so pleased to have been invited to share our music with the attendees of the Village for Families & Children event "The Girl Within" on December 2nd at the CT Convention Center.
December 2,3,9 & 10 2022
"The Happiness Project" | Carriage House Theater | Hartford, CT
One of the projects I'm most proud of in my career is the piece "Clamor and Ranting," which I wrote and directed when I worked at the Arts Academy half-day program back in 2015. I've been feeling the itch lately to take on a new creative project, so I'm very excited that this fall I will working with students at my new job at the Arts Academy High School to create another "docu-musical," this time on the subject of happiness: what it is, where we look for it, and whether or not it's possible to find it. This will be the first-ever musical produced by the Academy full-day program, and I am every excited to create this entirely original production with the students!
February 2023
Winter Musical | Loomis Chaffee School | Windsor, CT
Working at Loomis is always a joy because the students have such a love for learning and a willingness to take risks and try just about anything. I'm looking forward to joining director David McCamish and choreographer Kate Loughlin for another musical in the beautifully renovated NEO Theater.
April 2023
25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee | Eastern CT State University | Willimantic, CT
This will be my first time working with the students of the Eastern CT State University theatre program, but not my first time working on this show. I have often said that "Spelling Bee" is a show I would be happy to play for years, as every performance is a little different. I'm looking forward to working with new collaborators on this project!
